HARVEST 2019

Harvest time is a very important period for foodbanks throughout the country, as generous gifts of non-perishable food at this time compliment our regular donations, and help support our work through to the winter and the Christmas periods.

Many local schools and churches help us at Harvest time, and at the time of writing this update we would like to acknowledge and thank Abbey C of E Infants School; All Saints C of E Primary School; Camphill Primary School; Chetwynd Junior School; Galley Common Infants School; Lower Farm Academy; Michael Drayton Junior School; Milby Primary School; Queens C of E Academy; St Benedict’s Catholic Primary Atherstone; Stockingford Academy; Stockingford Nursery School; Teddy Bears Nursery and Preschool; Water Orton Primary School; Weddington Primary School and Wolvey C of E Primary School.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank the following churches for their additional support at Harvest time :-

Nuneaton Community Church; St Mary and All Saints Fillongley Church; St Anne’s Roman Catholic Church Nuneaton; Heath End Wesleyan Reform Church; Holy Trinity Church Hartshill and St Peter’s Galley Common and Manor Court Baptist Church.

We would also like to thank 1st Attleborough Beavers; Treacle Tarts WI and Holland and Barrett for their very helpful support.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATES

We all would like to thank everyone who donates to the foodbank –  Churches and Chapels – Schools – local businesses and organisations, and individual donors, who regularly donate food to help those in need locally.

We are always very pleased to receive individual and corporate cash donations, which help us to purchase bread and spread and other items, such as baby milk, nappies etc which we add to food parcels as needed.

ASDA; SAINSBURYS; ATTLEBOROUGH CO-OP; BULKINGTON CO-OP; GALLEY COMMON CO-OP; YORKSHIRE BANK; NUNEATON TOWN HALL; CAFFE NERO; NUFFIELD HEALTH GYM and many local churches and chapels.

WE ARE ALWAYS GRATEFUL FOR VOLUNTEERS

In order to continue to provide the support needed at our four centres, which working together give access five days a week to emergency food parcels for those in need, we rely on the help of volunteers. We are always grateful for the help of volunteers, and there are a number of different jobs that need to be done in order to enable the Nuneaton Foodbank to operate efficiently.

MIGHT YOU BE ABLE TO HELP?

If you would like to help us by being a volunteer please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator for further information ([email protected])

Again many thanks to you all for your ongoing generous support.

Kind regards,

David
